Professional Development Grants

We believe that teachers hold the key to student achievement and success. The Professional Development program supports innovative learning opportunities for teachers through workshops, classes, and training seminars focused on developing new and effective teaching skills. These skills in turn will help to develop and improve students’ skills by ensuring overall student and teacher success. Teaching staff, counselors, and classified personnel are invited to apply for this grant to pay for the fees associated with these programs based on the range of students and teachers who would benefit.

New Teacher Grants

It is common for teachers to spend hundreds of dollars to set up their classrooms. The Foundation currently provides a $125 grant to each new teacher to help with the purchase of materials. The week before the new school year begins the new teachers are invited to a New Teacher Reception where they are presented with the grant. The goal is to continue this grant each year for each new teacher to the District.

Classroom Grants

The School and Teacher grants are awarded twice a year to those projects which exemplify creativity and enhance the learning experience. All staff members including teachers, counselors, nurses, and psychologists are eligible to apply for these grants. The applicants selected are those who demonstrate the greatest support for student development through the four pillars of academics, athletics, agriculture, and the arts.
